I'm working hard for Swansea West alongside Alan Williams MP

 Earlsmoor rally- defending services such as my campaign to save Earlsmoor Respite Care Home in Uplands and Brynmill Library from Council closure.

- supporting our Schools. I am a school Governor at Dylan Thomas Community School and regularly visit Swansea schools and am pressing for more investment in our schools.Geraint Davies in 999 emergency control room

- working with Swansea Police on the beat in Wind St and calling with them for its closure to traffic each evening to for pedestrian safety. Pressing for the police to get continuous full CCTV access from the Council to help them cut crime . Since 1997 Labour has provided 16,000 more police to help reduce violent crime by 41% and crime by a third.Gendros tree planting

- working for our Environment: most recently clearing derelict land and planting trees in Gendros. I head up the Environment Agency team to adapt Wales to climate change. I head an executive of Council Leaders academics & environmentalists who invest £30 in flood defences each year.

- working with residents - like Sketty Action Group to get the Council to adopt sensitive housing allocation that doesn't lead to anti-social behaviour blighting our communitiesFforestfach Post Office

- campaigning alongside Swansea West sub-postmasters for stronger Post Offices by securing the post office card account and banking facilities from our local post offices including Dunvant, Sketty, Blackpill, Uplands,Townhill, Waunarlwydd, Cereithin and Fforestfach (pictured)

- Studentsworking with Swansea Student Union to restore the right to vote on campus withdrawn by the Lib Dem Council; insisting hundreds of unregistered HMOs in Swansea are licenced by the Council and proper environmental controls are imposed.

- working with business and unions in Swansea and Wales to create and safeguard sustainable jobs. As Chair of the Wales Labour Finance and Industry Group (LFIG) I provide advice to Ministers in Westminster and Cardiff.Carol Watts Swansea Market

- as a Labour & Cooperative Candidate encouraging Cooperatives and cooperation in particular since the recent financial crisis showed the resilience of cooperative and mutual models. The Cooperative Party was started in Swansea 90 years ago and its principles include people having an equal say at work, promoting fair trade and respecting the environment .TOPIC house christmas

 - supporting a fair deal for our senior citizens. I gave out Christmas dinners and lead the singing for mature citizens of Townhill at TOPIC house this year having given out mince pies to Fforestfach Senior Citizens last year. I welcome Labour's 2.5% pension increase and winter fuel allowance and successfully opposed moves by the Liberal Democrat Council to cut vulnerable elderly's telephone Lifeline service.

- supporting our national health service. We have 44,000 more doctors and 89,000 more nurses than in 1997 delivering 2 million more operations a year with the shortest waiting lists since records began.Rhodri head

- supporting public services investment in Wales which is 14% higher per head than in England with the Labour Government creating the Welsh Assembly in 1999 and increasing funding from £7billion then to £15,5billion now.

- working alongside AlanAlan & Geraint at Remploy Williams our MP for Swansea West for example to protect employment at Swansea Remploy (pictured) for those with disabilities.

- working to earn your support as Labour's Parliamentary candidate in Swansea West to succeed Alan Williams MP.
